The Royal College of Panama is characterized by instilling in the daily life of its students the practice of essential values, such as respect for others, kindness, generosity, humility and solidarity, which are fostered in our students through the Social Service program.

From our beginnings, we have involved them in different community service activities, forming in them the habit of giving freely without expecting anything in return, offering their time, goods or simply their talent to help someone in need.

Among the works carried out, we can mention construction, remodeling, tutoring, entertainment for senior citizens, donations and many others, both in the capital and in the rural areas of our country, which have always left a good impression, but, above all, our students have gotten the best part: the satisfaction of having contributed to improving the lives of the most needy, changing, also, their own.

In the summer of 2018, we launched the #realsocialservice program, in which our 2019 graduating class spent two weeks with their teachers in the Ngäbe Buglé community of Llano Ñopo. During this time, they participated in construction and improvement projects at the Padre Moisés González Residence, where students from the region who live away from their schools spend the week, as well as in academic support programs for children and adults. Several objectives were achieved:

• To raise students' awareness of the needs, interests, and problems of the community so that they are able to plan and execute projects for personal improvement and the improvement of their environment.
• To promote educational actions aimed at building a spirit of service for the permanent improvement of the community and the comprehensive prevention of socially relevant problems
• Promoting the practice of work and the use of free time, as rights that allow for the dignification of the person and the raising of the standard of living
• To contribute to the development of solidarity, tolerance, cooperation, respect for others, responsibility and commitment to their social environment
• Experiencing the need to make a personal commitment to solidarity and helping others, to integrate students into community life. We are filled with pride in the community work that our students have carried out, but most importantly, we confirm that our students have achieved behavioral changes in the development of attitudes and abilities, so that they become bearers of cultural, civic, and moral values.
